WE CAN HELP
SpellVille Tutoring is not a school but rather a program that provides one-on-one tutoring using the Barton Reading & Spelling System. We are specialists, trained and certified through a recognized expert in the field of dyslexia. Our program is of value to all students, whether homeschooled, charter, or private/public school based who have trouble with reading and spelling.
We are currently an active vendor with Sage Oak Charter and Blue Ridge Academy Charter and are willing to apply for vendor membership with other charters if needed.
We provide Monday through Friday tutoring from 9-5 although availability may vary.
The cost is $50.00 per 1 hour session, twice a week minimum ($100 weekly). We only bill for the sessions tutored. We do not charge for absent days. Invoicing is billed bi-weekly for those paying out of pocket, or monthly for those who provide a purchase order through their charter school.
What is needed for tutoring:
-Small marker board with dry erase markers.
-A headset with microphone may be recommended for some students.
-Computer with audio/video access, mouse and keyboard.
-Chrome Books are not recommended due to glitching.
-Sitting at a table or desk in a quiet environment.
Because we specialize in tutoring children, there are certain things we do not do.
-We do not do diagnostic testing.
-We do not do advocacy work or attend IEP or 504 meetings.
-We do not assist with homework.
-We do not consult with or contact the student’s teachers.
No sectarian content is given.
